Lauren Davies is Director of Exhibitions and Public Programs at the Kala Gallery and Art Institute, an artist residency center located in Berkeley. Kala offers studio residencies to artists working in various print processes, digital media, video and installations. As Director of Exhibitions, Lauren's curatorial projects at Kala have focused on contemporary works in a wide range of media and subject matter. Recent exhibitions have included re:con-figure, Casual Labor, ultra deepfield, Future Tense, The Real World, High Fiber, Blurring the Line and Systems of Collecting in addition to Residency Projects,an annual series that features new work by Kala's Fellowship awardees.
